The Charleston Area Alliance began its Generation Charleston initiative in early 2006. Originally named Young Professionals, the group has more than 800 members who have joined this initiative, which strives to attract and retain young professionals to the region, while focusing on fostering the next generation of leadership. Young talent is the future intellectual capital of any economy, and the Charleston Area Alliance is committed to creating both an economy and community that is and will be attractive to this group of professionals.
